How to change strings on electric guitar?

There are several different methods of changing guitar strings, as I’m sure you know. I want to talk about the most popular one in this lesson: using a string winder. A string winder is a hand-held wheel with a handle attached to right angles. The wheel has been grooved lengthwise with little pointy teeth in it. This increases friction on the string when you turn the handle, which makes it very easy to wind a string.
The important thing about using a string winder is not to try and use too much force! It’s tempting to put some elbow grease into turning that handle, but all that’ll happen is that you’ll wind up with a sore wrist, and your string will slip out of the winder if it’s too loose. The idea is to use just enough force so that the teeth in the wheel grip the string and turn it.

How many strings does an electric guitar have?

Electric guitars usually have six strings. Some, such as the seven-string and twelve-string guitars, have more than six strings. Sometimes bass guitars (tuned lower than a normal guitar) might have as many as four or five strings.
